We are excited to provide teens in the community with a space to explore, create, and cultivate their artistic talents. Our studio provides teens with an open and inviting atmosphere for both individual and collaborative art projects. With a variety of materials and resources available to them, teens can utilize the studio and art lab to express themselves through a variety of creative outlets. We look forward to seeing what the teens create in our Open Art Studio and Art Lab!
What is the Cultivate Teen Open Art Studio and Lab Experience?
At Cultivate, we believe in providing a safe, supportive, and creative environment for teens to explore their passion for art. Our Teen Open Art Studio and Lab Experience allows teenagers to connect with peers and make new friends while learning and growing as an artist. Here, teens have the opportunity to engage with a variety of media, experiment with different techniques, and receive guidance from our knowledgeable art staff. The studio and lab provide teens with an open space to discover new ideas, connect with other young creatives, and share experiences in a positive and encouraging atmosphere. Through this experience, teens can build confidence in their artistic abilities, explore their creative expression, and be surrounded by like-minded individuals.
What can teens expect?
Teens can expect to be immersed in a creative environment and explore their creative potential at Cultivate's Teen Open Art Studio and Lab Experience. Teens will have the opportunity to experiment with different mediums, techniques, and tools, to create artwork of their own. They will be able to work on individual or group projects while collaborating with other teens, developing their artistic skills and expression.
The Teen Open Art Studio and Lab Experience will offer professional guidance from experienced artists in the fields of painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, printmaking, digital media, and more. Each week, teens will explore a new topic, technique, or media, and learn how to use it to create meaningful works of art.
Cultivate's Teen Open Art Studio and Lab Experience is an opportunity for teens to learn the fundamentals of art-making, develop their artistic skills, express themselves creatively, and build meaningful relationships with other teens who share similar interests. It is an exciting way for teens to explore their passions and discover new possibilities in art.
What are the benefits of participating in the Teen Open Art Studio and Lab Experience?
The Teen Open Art Studio and Lab Experience at Cultivate offers teens a unique opportunity to explore their creative side. Teens can take part in a wide range of activities such as painting, drawing, designing sculpture or ceramics, creating art projects, learning new skills and techniques, and working with our Art Studio teacher.
Through this experience, teens are able to develop their creativity, practice problem-solving skills, express themselves, build self-confidence, make new friends, learn about the art world and its history, and discover new forms of art. They will also be able to develop their artistic skills and gain real-world experience in creating artwork.
In addition to the artistic benefits, the Teen Open Art Studio and Lab Experience also provides teens with an opportunity to learn valuable interpersonal skills and gain a sense of community. There aren't a lot of free programs for teens in the West Michigan community, and this is their chance to participate in a creative and community-building program. Teens will be able to work together on projects, share ideas, and develop meaningful relationships with peers.
Overall, the Teen Open Art Studio and Lab Experience provides teens with a safe environment to explore their artistic side and connect with others who share similar interests. It’s an amazing opportunity for teens to grow and learn more about themselves.
What do teen students need to bring?
Teens who are interested in participating in the Cultivate Teen Open Art Studio and Lab Experience can bring materials or art projects from home, or use our materials! We encourage all teens to use or start a sketchbook for their creative practices, but no one has to!
How much does this cost?
There are no fees associated with participating in this program, allowing all teens to benefit from the experience regardless of their financial situation.
How can I sign up?
No registration is necessary. Just show up! Offered every Monday from 6-8pm.
