Toddler/Preschooler Art Classes:  Ages 3-6

At Cultivate, our preschool art courses are designed to introduce young children to the world of art through play and creativity. Instead of structured levels, our programs focus on developing fine and gross motor skills and fostering an early appreciation for artistic expression.

Cultivate's Art Program Progression: Building Artistic Confidence and Creativity


At Cultivate, our art programs are designed to nurture creativity and skill at every stage of a student’s artistic journey. Our progression system ensures that students, whether beginners or advanced, can grow their talents in a supportive, enriching environment.  This progression work supports parents and guardians in selecting courses based on the students level, and also supports seeing the growth and development of a student! 

Level A (Beginner) courses introduce essential techniques and concepts, providing a strong foundation for artistic exploration. As students move to Level B (Intermediate), they dive deeper into more complex methods, refining their abilities and discovering their unique style. Level C (Advanced) challenges students to master their craft, working on sophisticated projects that foster critical thinking and self-expression.

For Students: This progression not only builds artistic skills but also encourages problem-solving, perseverance, and creative thinking. Each course is designed to meet students where they are, helping them to set and achieve their own artistic goals.

For Parents/Guardians: You’ll see your child’s growth not just in their art, but in their confidence, creativity, and enthusiasm. Our structured approach allows you to track their development through clear milestones, ensuring that they are continuously challenged and engaged.

Teen Art Classes: Ages 13-18

At Cultivate, our teen art programs are designed to guide students through a structured progression that nurtures their artistic growth from foundational skills to advanced techniques.

Level A (Beginner) courses introduce essential concepts in drawing, painting, sculpture, fiber arts, and photography, laying a strong foundation. As teens advance to Level B (Intermediate), they refine their skills, exploring more complex methods and creative expression. Finally, Level C (Advanced) challenges them with specialized, in-depth projects that encourage mastery and personal style.

For Teens: This progression builds confidence, encourages creative exploration, and prepares students for more advanced artistic endeavors. Teens develop technical skills while also learning to think critically, solve problems creatively, and express their unique perspectives through art.
