En este programa, invitamos a niños de 3 a 6 años a hacer arte. En esta clase de arte continua basada en el juego, nos enfocamos en la socialización, la conexión, el aprendizaje sensorial y el fomento de la imaginación.
What to Expect
At our Fiber Arts sessions, homeschool families can expect an in-depth and varied exploration of fiber arts techniques, guided by a professional fiber artist. Each week introduces a different aspect of fiber arts, such as weaving, knitting, felting, and embroidery, allowing participants to engage with a diverse range of tactile skills. This setup means that families can choose to attend one session to focus on a particular technique or participate in multiple sessions to develop a comprehensive skill set. Every class begins with a detailed introduction to the day’s technique, followed by hands-on learning where participants can practice under the guidance of our experienced artist. The session concludes with a group share, where everyone is encouraged to present their work and share insights, fostering a sense of community among attendees. This program is designed not only to educate but also to inspire creativity and confidence in artistic expression, providing a supportive environment for homeschool families to explore and grow together creatively.

About the Facilitator

Gail Long (she/her) is an accomplished artist whose current body of work deeply engages with the natural world through textiles. Gail earned her BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and her MA from Grand Valley State University. Her work has been showcased in both virtual and in-person exhibitions and has been featured in several esteemed publications, including Create Magazine, The Huts Magazine, and Painting Our World.
Gail brings a wealth of experience and a deep love for fiber arts to the studio, offering guidance and inspiration to artists at all levels.
