Job Description: Program and Events Coordinator

Salary: $40,000-$50,000/year with potential advancement

Position Summary:

 

Job Duties will include:

• Manage online event calendar

• Establish relationships with grant recipients, award winners, and other partners to populate online event calendar.

• Work closely with the Michigan Humanities team to identify requirements and expectations for each event.

• Help prepare event budgets and process invoices.

• Research and book event venues.

• Organize suppliers, caterers, and other vendors.

• Coordinate all logistical elements of the events.

• Manage set-up, tear-down, and clean-up operations.

• Anticipate/identify and a make appropriate accommodation for event attendees including diverse disabilities and prepare against potential risks.

• Develop post-event reports on impact and effectiveness of events.

The Event Manager will be responsible for event planning and execution, while managing a variety of administrative tasks that support special events, fundraising initiatives, campaigns, and donor engagement. This is also a full-time position and will report to the Development Director, while working with all senior leadership and multiple departments throughout the organization.
