Art Workshop with REB
Kent District Library - East Grand Rapids Branch 
Saturday, Sept 24 10-4pm


Join local Grand Rapids folk artists Reb "REB" Roberts and Carmel Loftis for an interactive, fun session of sculpture making for all ages!  REB and Carmel will lead and participate in art-making alongside you using a wide variety of reclaimed and recycled materials.

You are invited to participate in one of the three sessions that are happening: 
10-11 AM
12-1 PM
2-3 PM 

We will meet in the EGR Community Center / Lower Level in the Parks & Rec Rooms.  Please arrive before the session begins and plan to stay for the whole hour! Walk-ins will be welcome if there is space, but sessions are limited to 30 people.

Participants are invited to bring recyclable materials (in addition to what will be made available).

Mallory Shotwell

Mallory Shotwell (she/her) is the founder and director of Cultivate.  Mallory is also an interdisciplinary artist and curator.  In her artistic and curatorial work, she considers care and caregiving in their practices, as they create spaces to hold space for various experiences and emotions.  Her immersive installation-based work considers sensorial engagement, creating room-like environments within the exhibition to mindfully consider and harness the concept of both physical rest and visual rest, and inviting points of engagement and participation. Her current body of work is on breast cancer.
