About
Rosanne Coty moved to Grand Rapids to attend Aquinas College and Kendall School of Design in a rare affiliated program to earn her BFA with honors from both schools. Her career began as a designer for children’s apparel, with original and Disney licensed art, until she decided to work from home as an independent artist and designer and raise her children. Her freelance career consists, alternately, as a commissioned painter, graphic designer, muralist and photographer. Rosanne’s career launched when she took her painting for enjoyment to a larger scale, with public display Grand Rapid’s ArtPrize competitions. She has taught Continuing Studies classes at Kendall College of Art Design of Ferris State University and community ed art instruction to further share her art enjoyment with all ages. Her five time participation in ArtPrize increased her public art exposure and gained her a compliment from New York Times art critic Jerry Saltz, who called her “a true artist”. She has since had pieces virtually represented in Italy's Coca Prize, and a piece in the Global Competition "Art in the Time of Corona”.
